Join the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust, the Northcoast Environmental Center, and Humboldt Marine Protected Area Collaborative Saturday, June 8 in a smartphone-powered bioblitz of the California coast. Participants will collect data on local species of plants and animals using the iNatualist app as part of the Snapshot Cal Coast Project, an annual statewide effort to document our coastal biodiversity around marine protected areas (MPAs). People of all ages and skill levels are welcome! We’ll rally up the experts, so bring your curiosity, and together we will do citizen science! Meet at the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust office, 380 Janis Court next to the Trinidad Museum, at 9:15 a.m. to carpool to the Baker Beach trail head.
NEC staff may not be in attendance, but we are helping to share the event and support the BioBlitz!
