Redwood Coast Energy Authority
Get ready for the much-anticipated return of Redwood Coast Energy Authority’s E-Bike Incentive program! The State of California and RCEA are supporting micro-mobility and low-carbon transportation through E-Bike Voucher programs. Standard commuter e-bikes, cargo e-bikes and adaptive E-Bikes located at one of RCEA’s five participating bike shops are eligible for the voucher.
Income eligible residents of Humboldt County are strongly encouraged to get ready and apply. RCEA will be offering a $500 – $700 voucher for income-qualified Humboldt County residents, and adaptive E-Bike riders are eligible to receive a $1,000 voucher. Additionally, the State of California is offering income-eligible residents $1,000 – $2,000 towards the purchase. All RCEA customers are eligible for a $150 – $350 E-Bike voucher.
The RCEA and State of California programs have not yet been launched, but you can visit RCEA’s E-Bike webpage to prepare at redwoodenergy.org/e-bikes-information and sign up to receive an email once the programs have been launched. Find Humboldt County’s participating bike shops and the state’s program income qualifications on this site as well.
For any questions pertaining to the program, please call RCEA’s office at 707.269.1700 and ask to speak about our E-Bike Voucher Program. Inquiries can also be addressed by emailing E-Bike@RedwoodEnergy.org.
