What you will need
- Fresh feverfew (leaves and flowers)
- Fresh lemon balm
- Fresh peppermint
- 80 proof vodka
- Mason jar and lid
- Cheesecloth
- Glass measuring cup
- Amber glass dropper bottles
Directions
- Harvest equal portions of feverfew, lemon balm, and peppermint before they seed.
- Rinse herbs.
- Finely chop herbs.
- Put into a (sanitized) mason jar.
- Fill the jar with vodka until all the herbs are submerged.
- Store in a cool, dark place for 1 – 2 months. In the first couple of weeks, make sure to check everyday if the herbs are completely submerged.
- Once ready, use cheesecloth to strain herbal liquid into a measuring cup.
- Funnel herbal liquid into (sanitized) amber glass dropper bottles.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
- Take 1 – 2 dropper-fulls when needed, up to 3 times a day.
