Arcata Community Recycling Center
The Arcata and Eureka Community Recycling Centers are committed to providing Arcata, Eureka and the Humboldt Bay area with cost-effective means to reduce, reuse and recycle waste produced in Humboldt County.
We offer free drop-off recycling in Arcata and Eureka seven days a week (hours and locations below). We also offer free office paper and cardboard pick-up for businesses, education programs and community outreach services for schools and other organizations, and operate the popular Reusables Depot, which offers a wide variety of household goods and building materials.

California Native Plant Society, Northcoast Chapter
Originally formed in 1965 in the east bay region, the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is a statewide non-profit organization of amateurs and professionals with a common interest in California's native plants. The Society, working through its local chapters, seeks to increase understanding of California's native flora and to preserve this rich resource for future generations. Membership is open to all. Our members have diverse interests including natural history, botany, ecology, conservation, photography, drawing, hiking, and gardening.

North Group, Redwood Chapter of the Sierra Club
Welcome to the North Group.
The Sierra Club is one of the largest and oldest environmental organizations in the country. The Club's purpose is to protect and restore wild places, public health and wildlife for future generations. It is a non-profit, member supported, public interest organization that promotes conservation by influencing public policy decisions--legislative, administrative, legal and electoral. The North Group encompassses all Sierra Club members living in Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, and Western Siskiyou counties.

Redwood Region Audubon Society
The Redwood Region Audubon Society (RRAS) was founded in 1969 and is the Northwest California chapter of the National Audubon Society. This energetic community of conservation-minded people is active in many ways. Redwood Region Audubon is a volunteer, non-profit organization with approximately 600 members. The chapter relies on the energy and commitment of its members to keep Redwood Region Audubon Society a strong and effective local conservation organization.

EPIC - Environmental Protection Information Center
The Environmental Protection Information Center was formed by community activists more than 30 years ago, and works to protect and restore ancient forests, watersheds, coastal estuaries, and native species throughout Northwest California. EPIC uses an integrated, science-based approach, combining public education, citizen advocacy, and strategic litigation.

Safe Alternatives for our Forest Ecology (SAFE)
SAFE is a non-profit coalition organization of citizens in Trinity County and beyond. They have worked on forestry and wilderness issues with Citizens for Better Forestry, the Trinity Alps Group, the Wilderness Trust and Trinity River Land Trust, California Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides (CCAP), the South Fork Mountain Defense Fund, EPIC, the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, Earth Justice and others.
