This November 15th and 16th, California will experience one of its highest tides of the year — a spectacle that you don’t want to miss! #KingTides occur when the Earth, moon, and sun are near alignment and the moon is in its closest position to the Earth.
Viewing a king tide at its high point provides a glimpse of what our coast may look like as sea-level rises. We also get very low tides during the king tide window — great for checking out the part of the coast that is normally hidden by waves.
