Friday, March 26 is the deadline for children to enter the 18th annual bird art contest and the 16th annual nature writing contest. The art contest is open to Humboldt County students in grades K-12, while the writing contest is open to Humboldt and Del Norte students in grades 4-12.
Friends of the Arcata Marsh and Redwood Region Audubon Society cosponsor the art contest, while RRAS underwrites the writing contest. Fliers posted at www.godwitdays.org contain complete instructions on how to submit entries online in each contest.
