The Northcoast Environmental Center brings local environmental groups together, unifying our efforts to protect and maintain our wild lands, watersheds, and quality of life within the community. We make this possible by:
Educating the community through the publication of EcoNews, radio shows on KHSU and KHUM, co-hosting Ocean Night, presenting our watershed model, and more;
Advocacy work through drafting and commenting on legislation, working with state and local representatives, keeping you up to date on representatives positions and actions, and more;
Direct action by coordinating our Adopt-a-Beach and Adopt-a-Block coastal programs and Coastal Cleanup Day;
Outreach and community involvement by providing internships, volunteer opportunities, and hosting monthly events;
- Celebrating our unique community through the All Species Parade, Birdathon, Endangered Art Show and volunteer appreciation events;
The final and most important part of how this possible is our member donors!
You can join our mission by becoming a supporting member! Members receive a mailed or digital copy of EcoNews, invites to special events and can carry the satisfaction of being a crucial part of our work.
