Come celebrate 40 years of the Coastal Cleanup Day with us!
The Northcoast Environmental Center invites you to attend this year’s spaghetti dinner, dance and silent auction FUN(d)Raiser at Bayside Community Hall on Saturday, March 9th. This year we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Coastal Cleanup Day, which had its humble beginnings here at the NEC in Humboldt, and is now a worldwide tradition. Come show your appreciation for the thousands of volunteers who have made an impact on our coastlines across the years, while enjoying an evening of dancing, delicious food and a chance to take home some great local goodies!
PURCHASE TICKETS
Advanced tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students/children if purchased before March 7th. Tickets at the door will be $25 for adults and $15 for students/children. Music only tickets are available for $10 with admission after 7:15pm.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at our office or online here.
Dinner
The dinner menu features a spaghetti bar, with a variety of sauces to entice your palate, local mixed green salad, and a variety of local bread and dessert. Vegans, vegetarians and carnivores will all be welcomed!
Schedule
Our no-host wine, beer and mix drinks bar starts at 5:00 p.m with local mixologist Jeff St. John. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. After dinner, dance and kick up your heels to local band, Kingfoot, starting at 8:00 p.m. Kingfoot plays a unique style of original Acoustic Americana blending Country, Bluegrass, Russian, Ska, African, Celtic and Rockabilly into a melting pot of great music.
Silent Auction
A silent auction of items donated from local businesses, artists, and friends of the NEC is always a terrific part of the evening. A sample of items from last year’s benefit include gift certificates for Center Activities, the Benbow Inn, Kayak Trinidad, the Historical Requa Inn, Madaket’s Booze Cruise, Humboldt Bay Oyster Tours, Siren’s Song Tavern, Living the Dream Ice Cream, Pen & Pine, Ferndale Repertory Theatre, SCRAP Humboldt, paintings, jewelry, wine, books and more! We’re looking forward to seeing what will be available this year and will update the list when known. Be sure to bring your check book!
We will also be featuring a free Coastal Cleanup Day themed Photo Booth for a fun and interactive way to remember the evening and celebrate in style.
For the event, be sure to bring cash or local checks as internet is limited for cards!
